THE NOTORIOUS B.I.G. VS. OTAKU GANG - LIFE AFTER DEATH STAR

Yeah, I know that this is Star Wars related and has absolutely nothing to do with automobiles, but I'll let it slip since the new movie is almost in full effect. Just in time for the upcoming release of The Force Awakens, production duo Solar Slim & Richie Branson (also known as "Otaku Gang") unleashed this match made in heaven upon the world. Personally, I would've changed the title of Machine Gun Funk to "Blaster Pistol Funk", but that's just me... What you get here are Biggie a capellas laid over ridiculous, Star Wars sample-laden beats. What could be better than that?

PIMP C - LONG LIVE THE PIMP

It's hard not to get excited when new material from the deceased half of the legendary Underground Kingz gets released. This one doesn't disappoint, though I could've used a whole lot more Bun B on this album. Obviously, they're kind of scraping the barrel at this point to find usable Pimp C material to turn into something worthy of release, but I think that Mr. Lee's production here is incredibly faithful to the style of Chad Butler. Rife with Hammond organ, Long Live the Pimp isn't the greatest Pimp C album ever released, but it's going to have to suffice. R.I.P. Pimp C!

TRILL ASS CAR MIX: THE THREE WHEEL MOTION PICTURE

In the year 2000, my good friend Ira Babb created a CD compilation of rap songs about cars. He named it Trill Ass Car Mix. It contained 12 classic tracks, all from the 90's. Over the next two years, her released two more compilations before proclaiming that there were simply no more rap songs about cars available for further installments. Babb retired from the game on a high note with his seminal work, 2002's Trill Ass Car Mix III. By 2007, all music ever created by man was readily available on this thing we call the Internet. I took it upon myself to seek out all car-related rap songs that had ever been created in the post-TACM III universe. The result of this project was Trill Ass Car Mix IV: Purple Mudd. Over the years, this series of mixtapes (currently spanning 12 volumes) has garnered a cult-like following from people around the world; from those who like rap to those who like cars to those who like Star Trek, the Trill Ass Car Mix brand has become synonymous with the third coast Trekkie slab culture. Since the original trilogy of Trill Ass Car Mix compilations are now long out of print, I have taken it upon myself to reload, remix and re-release them, now featuring previously undiscovered tracks from the era that were not included on the originals. Ladies and gentlemen, I now present to you the long-awaited first release in the holy trilogy: Trill Ass Car Mix: The Three Wheel Motion Picture. Live long and prosper.

UGK & B.B. KING - THE TRILL IS GONE

Amerigo Gazaway (Trill A.G.) presents the fruits of an imagined recording session between legendary bluesman B.B. King and Texas rap legends UGK. Not sure I agree with the album title, but I suppose it's a decent enough play on words. Regardless of that, it's an intricate and multilayered production that melds two unique styles together quite nicely. UGK documentary filmmaker Sama'an Ashrawi provided unreleased interview audio that Gazaway weaves into the narrative of the project, laced with King's scorching Lucille guitar licks with Bun and Pimp's southern fried lyrics. B.B. King was really like the UGK of his time, so this is only fitting.

The One Who Is Moving Now: ANSWER!!!

This is from a seemingly amazing/terrible interactive VHS board game released by Decipher in 1993. Incidentally, Decipher also created my favorite CCG of all time, based on the relatively obscure Star Wars series of films. I don't know what the fuck this Klingon motherfucker is talking about. RESPOND!!!!
